Colla-beer-ation in New Brunswick

Trail Miners enjoying some Picaroons beer post ride
NB Brews Brasse NB

Launched in 2019, NB Brews – Brasse NB is working hard with the New Brunswick Craft Alcohol Producers Association (NBCAPA) to market more than 70 local craft beer and cider makers within New Brunswick.

This past summer, we caught up with the NB Brews team in Saint John to ride Rockwood Park and enjoy a sociable evening at the Picaroons General Store and Pomodori Pizza. Joined by the Saint John Cycling Trail Miners, we quickly confirmed the reputation that mountain bikers are thirsty folk!

Recently, a new collaboration has emerged that will have many mountain bikers stoked to try! NB Brews and Mountain Bike Atlantic are creating a colla-beer-ation project!

Collaboration beers have become increasingly prominent in the craft brewing world. The idea behind these “collabs” is straightforward: breweries work together to create a new brew, but the magic really happens when that collab extends to include a community group. In this case, mountain bikers.

There’s a natural fit between craft breweries and mountain bikers

Christine Comeau, Executive Director of NBCAPA

More than a dozen participating brewers from across New Brunswick will get together (virtually) to design a mountain bike-inspired recipe and then brewers get to take their own spin on brewing it at their own brewery.

The expected release is spring 2021!

Please enjoy your brews responsibly
