What to Expect:
You can expect what is in the name – Rock and Wood! This old school trail network has plenty of technical challenges to offer every level of rider. This municipal park has ~40km of single track trail, so there is something for everyone to work on in Rockwood.
The local club and trail builders have been working on adding more flow trail to the single-track options in the Park. Millennium Falcon is the new beginner flow trail aimed at providing those new to the sport with an introductory loop without much tech. Conveniently located next to the Skills Park, this trail is ideal for practicing before heading into the other single-track trails.
Rockwood has plenty of options for riders interested in working on rock gardens and roots. The IMBA trail, Bunny Rampage, is a favourite for intermediate riders as it offers rock features, rock gardens, roots, hip jumps, big jumps, and berms.
Skywalker, Reid’s Ridge, Mama I’m Coming Home are just a few of the trails that would appeal to advanced riders. Steep and technical. You will need to be on your game to ride these trails clean. A great challenge.
Upper Fisher Lakes Parking Lot
Upper Fisher Lakes is a great spot to access the beginner trail Crystal Lake, intermediate trail Simon Says, or advanced trail Mamma I’m Comin’ Home.
Horse Stables Parking Lot
The Horse Stables parking lot is close to the Skills Park, beginner trail Millennium Falcon, and a kid’s playground.
