What to Expect:
Mark Arendz Provincial Park at Brookvale is just 25 minutes from Charlottetown or Borden-Carleton and is a mountain bike destination for riders of all levels. With over 20km of varied singletrack and a pump track in the parking lot, it’s a must ride while on PEI for individuals, families or groups. The trail network consists of a combination of flat, smooth terrain, flowy machine built trail and old-school rooty, technical riding all carved through the famous red PEI dirt!
For
For those just getting into the sport, this is one of the best facilities for learning how to ride. The west side Green Machine is built for beginners and will allow new riders to get comfortable on the bike. This 3km trail has only slight elevation changes so there is minimal climbing and descending involved. Just 3km of smooth riding to gain confidence before moving onto the blue trails! Along with the Green Machine, the new east side Coastline trail is a 6km smooth, machine built loop that will leave riders smiling and wanting to go for a second lap.
Although there is minimal double black diamond riding at this facility, expert riders will still have a blast on this diverse trail system. The new Surf & Turf trail features wooden skinnies, doubles, table tops, side hits and plenty of opportunity to get your wheels off the ground. If you’re into technical riding, Black Fly and the Dark Side will keep you on your toes with roots, rocks, drops and lots of fast, technical downhill sections.
