SUMMARY:Long Range Enduro
DESCRIPTION:You may have known us as the “Corner Brook Race” of the SJES. Thanks to the exceptional growth of the enduro scene across the island\, we have matured to become the Long Range Enduro – a grounded mountain bike event that is 100% west coast NL. The perfect compliment to the re-focused SJES. \nThe Long Range Mountains of western Newfoundland are the perfect venue for a full day of top-notch mountain bike racing. Finding inspiration from the beautiful terrain that surrounds us\, you can expect a “long range” race: big climbs\, long descents\, and a committed celebration of our sport. \nFor our newly minted 2022 event\, expect a single day riding that makes use of crowd favourite trails in the epic Humber Valley\, new additions to test your mettle\, and the best ski hill east of the rockies. We offer a variety of race categories across both sport and expert pacing so you can choose the style of race that suites you the best.

SUMMARY:Red Mud Mountain Mayhem - Brookvale
DESCRIPTION:Kids \n\n10:00 a.m.  11:00 a.m.\nMark Arendz Provincial Ski Park (Brookvale) (map)\nGoogle Calendar  ICS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCPEI will be holding a “Riders of Tomorrow” fun race for young children prior to the adult races. This mini event will take place on double-track trail close the Nordic Lodge. The ride will last about 5 minutes\, providing kids with an opportunity to participate. All Riders of Tomorrow participants will receive an award. Parents are asked to join their children in the ride as well. \nRiders of Tomorrow is a free event and is open to kids under the age of 12. \n\nAdults \n\n1:00 p.m.  3:00 p.m.\nMark Arendz Provincial Ski Park (Brookvale) (map)\nGoogle Calendar  ICS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRed Mud Mountain Mayhem (RMMM) has been a mountain biking tradition in the Maritimes for 26 years. Over these years\, RMMM has been synonymous with “a premier Mountain Bike racing experience”. \nEnjoy some of P.E.I.’s best Mountain Bike trails as you tear through the August green canopy of Brookvale Nordic Mountain Bike Park. This 7-10km (tbd) course incorporates a mix of both ‘flowy’ single-track and sweeping double-track sections. These trails are legendary on P.E.I. and have become fast and worked in over years of faithful usage. \nThere’s a reason this race has been around for such a long time and although a podium position is always uncertain\, leaving with a bike covered in red mud and bundle of great memories is always a sure thing. \nAdult Races: 1pm \n(Note we will also be hosting “Riders of Tomorrow” Children’s Races at 10am!)

SUMMARY:IMBA Canada Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day
DESCRIPTION:Established in 2004\, Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day challenges adults and biking clubs to introduce kids to the sport of cycling. The event celebrates the life of Jack Doub\, an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina who passed away in 2002. \nDeveloped and coordinated by the International Mountain Bicycling Association\, the event officially takes place every June and October\, however clubs and groups are encouraged to organize an event at anytime! We’ll give you advice and tips to structure an event that makes sense for you and your communityLast year\, Canadian events – which boasted group rides\, skills clinics\, bouncy castles\, and BBQs– attracted more than 3\,500 participants. Internationally\, events were held in Australia\, Italy\, Germany\, Japan\, Mexico\, the United Kingdom and the United States. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTake A Kid Mountain Biking Day has put more than 55\,000 kids and adults on bicycles worldwide.
