SUMMARY:Elgin Mountain Bike Race
DESCRIPTION:The Tour of Elgin is a whole day of bike activities. There is a 120km Marathon Race for the fittest of riders\, in fact we dare you to try the 120 km event\, which is the toughest mountain bike race in Atlantic Canada! We also have 80 km\, 40 km 20 km and 10 km distance options\, which will challenge you too. \nThe course covers all different types of surfaces\, with limited pavement\, lots of fast double track (30%)\, dirt roads (20%) and some great single track (50%). The course is well marked. There are also all-terrain support vehicles\, first aid on site and neutral feed stations. The 20 km and 10 km races are nearly 100% singletrack! \n\nDirections:\nFrom Moncton\, take Highway #2 then Exit 423 to Highway #1. Take Exit # 233 at Petitcodiac. Turn left toward Elgin (rte. 905). Drive approximately 15 min (20km) to the Elgin corner. Bike race headquarters is at the Elgin Firehall/Community Centre at the Elgin corner beside the Post Office.

Please note the runs will not include Ollie Bot or SwitchCraft. Hill will be closed at 6 p.m. September 8 until race time. Rules and additional info will be emailed to race registrants in advance of the race\, and posted on  www.thekeppoch.ca by September \nKeppoch Mountain is offering RV and Tent camping on Friday September 8th at the site of the Keppoch Enduro for anyone wanting to explore the area and spend time in the nearby Town of Antigonish. There are 10 tent sites and 20 trailer/RV sites available. Each site is $30 per night. Registration and payment will be through Keppoch HelloClub (https://thekeppoch.helloclub.com/register) and can be found under passes. Campers must check into the lodge before setting up. \nThere is no free overnight camping in The Keppoch’s parking lot.  \nKeppoch will also be offering access to the Shuttle truck/trailer on September 8th\, from 12 – 6 pm\, so you can hit the trails prior to race day. Registration and payment for the shuttle on Sept 8th will also be through HelloClub (https://thekeppoch.helloclub.com/register) and can be also be found under passes. \nPrivate shuttle bookings for other weekdays are available. DESCRIPTION:10:00 a.m.  2:00 p.m.\nCardigan Trails (next to ballfield and PEI Liquor store) (map)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Tour de Pants was created as a contra event to the Tour de France to celebrate Mountain Biking in P.E.I. \nIn the morning starting at 10am\, we will host races for ages U-9\, U-11\, U13\, U15\, U17 and Adult Beginner. \nThe Adult race will take place at 12pm for ages 17 and up. \nWe’ll be doing some BBQing as well! \nJuly may be a month to celebrate professional Road Racing in Europe\, but here on P.E.I. the Tour de Pants promises to deliver raw Mountain Biking thrills like no other. If you’re feeling adventurous dress-up (traditionally including fancy colourful pants) to be entered in the “Best pants” draw! \nThe race will take place on the trail system in Cardigan located beside the baseball field and liquor store on Chapel Road.

DESCRIPTION:This long-running favourite event is about having a good time\, solo or as a team\, at a hammer or chill pace\, on a great\, flowy course that suits a wide range of abilities. Racers complete as many laps as they can in the allotted time\, solo (must be 19+) or as relay teams of 2 or 3. Or just do as many laps as you’re feeling\, in between periods of hanging out at the start/finish cheering and socializing and eating pizza. It’s all fun. \nAs usual\, there will be refreshments\, cool swag\, and podium stuff from Trailway Brewing\, plus great draw prizes\, and we’ll have Milda’s Pizzas on site. \nCategories\nSolo Men (must be 19 or older as of December 31\, 2022)\nSolo Women (must be 19 or older as of December 31\, 2022)\nOpen Team\nWomen’s Team (all members must be women/girls)\nYouth Team (all members must be 16 or younger) \nREGISTER HERE for $30 until midnight on Friday\, August 26. There is registration on site race day for $45. \nCourse\nThis year’s course is 6.5 km of mostly singletrack\, with some flowy doubletrack sections here and there. Thanks to the exceptional growth of the enduro scene across the island\, we have matured to become the Long Range Enduro – a grounded mountain bike event that is 100% west coast NL. The perfect compliment to the re-focused SJES. \nThe Long Range Mountains of western Newfoundland are the perfect venue for a full day of top-notch mountain bike racing. Finding inspiration from the beautiful terrain that surrounds us\, you can expect a “long range” race: big climbs\, long descents\, and a committed celebration of our sport. \nFor our newly minted 2022 event\, expect a single day riding that makes use of crowd favourite trails in the epic Humber Valley\, new additions to test your mettle\, and the best ski hill east of the rockies. We offer a variety of race categories across both sport and expert pacing so you can choose the style of race that suites you the best.
