Mountain Bike Atlantic Festival

The Mountain Bike Atlantic Summit & Festival is a 4-day celebration of mountain biking as well as a conference about the tourism & growth opportunity for Atlantic Canada.
Festival (Friday to Sunday) This festival is for anyone looking to ride and enjoy the MTB festival vibes. We’ll have lift access riding at Sugarloaf Bike Park all weekend, group rides, races, and vendor expo!
FESTIVAL: Friday, June 3rd 2022, 1pm to 8pm
@ Sugarloaf Bike Park, Atholville
- 12:30pm – Registration for Festival Pass Holders at the Mountain Bike Atlantic tent
- 1 to 5pm – Chairlift at Sugarloaf Bike Park
- *Open exclusively to Summit/Festival Pass Holders!!*
- 5pm – Crafty Chat: Enduros in Atlantic Canada
- Discuss exciting topics with leaders from the Atlantic region in this collaborative evening
- 6pm – Live Music with special guest Maggie Savoie
FESTIVAL: Saturday, June 4th 2022, 9am to 8pm
@ Sugarloaf Bike Park, Atholville
- 8am – Yoga Session for All *bring your own mat*
- 9am – Vendor Expo opens
- This expo will feature clubs, associations, bike shops, and more from across Atlantic Canada!
- 9:30am – Women+ Groups Coffee Chat
- Wear your jersey from your local women’s group, have a morning coffee brew, and then go for a group ride to Pritchard Lake with local group, the Suga Sistas!
- 10am – Chairlift opens & Group Rides begin
- Group Rides begin with locals groups, and special guests – take a ride with the locals that know the downhill and cross-country trails best!
- 11am – Professional Photo of you riding on Sugar Daddy – Presented by Dose Media
- Between 11am and 12pm, Tim Foster will be on Sugar Daddy taking pictures of riders. These images will be available for free for Festival Pass holders!
- 1 to 3 pm – MTB Rally
- Get your Teams of 2 together to enjoy a great introduction to the race-scene, but with little pressure and prizes awarded for slowest times, and best costumes!
- Meet at the top of the L’Acadienne Entrance at 1PM for instructions, and look for a post with more details on our Instagram to be posted ~12:50pm on your way up the Lift!
- The checkpoints map will be unveiled on Instagram minutes before start time.
- Teams of 2
- 1 passport per team and must be together at each checkpoint to receive a number and mark your passport.
- Teammates must reach the finish line together.
- Prizes for best time, best hand, and best costume – Yes, costume!
- 3 to 5pm – IMBA Canada Trail Stewardship Workshop
- 5 to 6pm – Bike Skills Challenge – Presented by VELO Bike Ski
- 5pm – BBQ Fundraiser ($) for the Canadian Ski & Bike Patrol
- 6pm – Prizes
- 7pm – East Coaster Bonfire
